Making an Online Donation

To send an online donation internationally (from outside of Uganda):

Thank you for your generosity! If you are looking to send funds online, we suggest using World Remit. The fees associated with this service are reasonable and it is secure and fast. For your convenience, we have included instructions for sending a donation using WorldRemit.

Step 1: Create an account. You will need to provide an email address and create a password.

Step 2: Select “Uganda.” Then select “Bank Transfer.”

A dropdown menu will be showing “Receive.” Select “Send” instead and choose an amount. The calculator will show you the fees associated with the transfer and the local exchange rate. Click “Send” to move to the next step.

Step 3: You will now need to add a new recipient. Fill in the information as follows:

  • Bank: Diamond Trust Bank
  • Branch Name: Masaka Branch
  • Account Number: 5061901902
  • First Name: Nakato
  • Middle Name: Scovia
  • Last Name: Nsamba
  • City / Town: Masaka
  • Country: Uganda
  • Mobile Phone: 772 581 730 or 701 581 730
  • Email: goodsamaritank@gmail.com
  • Sending Reason: Family or Friend Support.

If you have a promo code, you can type it in on the right side of the screen. If not, click on “Next” to continue.

Step 4: Select a method of payment. You can select either “Instant Bank Transfer” and use Interac online, or “Debit/Credit Card.” Select one and click on “Next” to continue.

  • If you selected “Instant Bank Transfer”…
    • Please note that if you are sending from Canada, accepted institutions include Scotiabank, RBC, TD, and BMO, as well as selected Credit Unions. Select “Next” to go to the Interac Online webpage, where you will have 20 minutes to complete your transaction. Thank you for your support!
  • If you selected “Debit/Credit”…
    • You will need to provide more personal information for security reasons. The information you provide should match that on your credit card. Fill in your information and click “Next” to continue.
    • Input your card information and select “Pay Now” to complete the transaction. Thank you for your support!

Step 5 (Optional): If you would like to direct how we use your donation, please check our list of priorities which can be found on the You Can Help main page. Send us an email at goodsamaritank@gmail.com to tell us where you would like to direct your donation. If you would like to make a general donation and do not wish to specify a place for the funds, you can safely skip this step!
