The Good Samaritan School for the Deaf is a Community-Based Organisation that runs a primary boarding school for deaf children in the village of Kitengesa, South-East of Uganda. The school was founded to provide local deaf children with a space that is conducive to their learning and healthy development. It strives to equip all its students with holistic primary education and vocational skills required to be independent and productive members of society. Good Samaritan’s ultimate goal is to change the negative stereotypes currently held towards deaf people and promote their equal rights through working with parents and the rest of the community.
